Art was born June 24, 1936 in Fremont to William and Mary 'Brewer' Lackas. He was raised in Fremont and graduated from Fremont High School. He operated Lackas Construction Company and was a cement contractor. He leaves behind his sister Nancy Joseph of Inglewood, brothers Donald (Donna Lee) Lackas of Fremont, Albert (Pam) Nielsen of Inglewood and John (Barbara) Nielsen of Inglewood and many nieces and nephews.
Art and Sally were married June 16, 1956 at First Lutheran Church in Fremont and they are survived by their daughter Sally Jo Lackas and grandson Joshua Adams both of Florida.
Graveside service for Art and Sally Lackas will be 2:30pm, Friday August 9, 2024 at Ridge Cemetery in Fremont.
