Norma L Hartung, age 93, of Fremont, NE, died peacefully Tuesday, February 28, 2023, at Methodist Fremont Health.
She was born to Henry & Lorna (Johnson) Dorfmeyer in Fremont on Nov. 29, 1929. She attended school in Hooper & Uehling and graduated with her normal teaching degree. She taught in a rural school and worked at Western Electric where she met Del Hartung. They were married on December 30, 1961 and shared 54 years together.
After raising her children, she was employed at the Fremont Tribune as the mailroom manager for over 20 years. She was a strong woman and a very supportive mother. She is survived by daughters LeAnn (Ken) Karmann of Omaha, Shara (Roger) Wagner of Fremont, son Kent Hartung of Fremont, grandchildren Morgan (Kellie) Karmann, Amanda (companion Jason Smith) Hartung and Nia Karmann, great grandchildren Ariana Maddox, Chloe Maddox and Corbin Smith and many friends.
She was preceded by her husband, Del Hartung and her parents Henry & Lorna Dorfmeyer.
The family will have a private gathering at Ludvigsen Mortuary per Norma's wishes.
Memorials are suggested to the family for later designation.
