Lois Ann Hallowell, age 90, of Fremont
Went home to be with her beloved husband of 64 years; Bob, on Tuesday, November 16, 2021.
Lois Ann was born February 24, 1931 to Glen and Milada (Janecek) Beaumont in Dodge, Nebraska. She graduated from Snyder High School in 1949 as Valedictorian of her class. She went to Wayne State College and began her teaching career at a country school near Snyder, Ne. Over the years' she continued her education and graduated with Honors from Midland Lutheran College. Lois Ann married Robert (Bob) Hallowell on June 2, 1957 in Snyder, Nebraska. Together they had 2 children, David and Barbara. Lois Ann taught at Rural District 29 of Dodge County, Trinity Lutheran School and Fremont Public Schools until her retirement in 1990.
Lois Ann loved bowling, she was inducted into the Fremont Bowlers Hall of Fame in 1997. She also enjoyed playing golf, cards, getting together with the "Fab Four" to celebrate birthdays, and taking care of her grandchildren. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church where she was an Organist for many years, Fremont Women's Bowling Association, WIBC and Fremont Women's 600 Club.
Lois Ann is survived by her Son, David (Pam) Hallowell of Lincoln; Daughter, Barbara (Tom) Hoesing of Fremont; 5 Grandchildren, J.D. Hallowell, Tara (Ben) Decker, Anna (Cody) Kavan, Kristen (Ryan) Borg, Jacob Hoesing; 4 Great Grandchildren, Trent, Lauryn, and Jack Hallowell, Elsie Kavan; Brother, Gary (Cindy) Beaumont of Omaha; several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Robert (Bob) Hallowell on August 4, 2021; her parents, Glen and Milada; Brother, Ed Beaumont and Daughter-in-law, Jeanette "Jan" Hallowell.
The funeral will be 10am, Saturday, November 20, 2021 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Fremont. The Rev. Anthony Gerber will officiate. Burial will follow in Memorial Cemetery. Memorials maybe directed to the family. Visitation will be one hour before the service at the church on Saturday.
