Maureen C. Garrison age 81, of Fremont
Died June 1, 2021 at home surrounded by family.
Maureen was born July 7, 1939 in Sioux City, Iowa. Her parents died when she was very young and she was raised in an orphanage. She married Claude Huisman and together they had 7 children. He passed away on April 30, 1976. She married Kenneth Garrison on May 6, 1978 in Tekamah and together they had 1 child. They lived in Dodge until moving to Fremont in the mid 90's. Kenneth died in 1996. Maureen was a nurse's aide and worked for the Fremont Care Center, Scribner Good Samaritan Center, Parkview Nursing Home in Dodge and Birchwood Manor in North Bend.

Lynn (Jeremiah) Brown of Fremont
Sisters - Grace Rustan of Byron, MN.
Kathryn Gumbrecht of Yorba Linda, CA.
27 grandchildren and 47 great grandchildren
Maureen was preceded in death by her sisters Joyce, (Twin) Colleen, Barbara, Connie and an infant sister.
The funeral will be Saturday, 10am, June 5, 2021 at the Ludvigsen Mortuary Chapel in Fremont. Burial will follow in the Bohemian National Cemetery in Dodge. Visitation will be Friday from 4-8pm with the family present from 6-8pm at the Ludvigsen Mortuary Chapel in Fremont.
