Marvin was born January 16, 1921 on a farm near Page, Nebraska where he grew up. He graduated from high school in Page in 1938. He attended the University of Nebraska in Lincoln for 2 winters taking agricultural courses. He served in the United States Army Air Corps from Sept. of 1942 to November of 1945.

He farmed in the O'Neill area most of his working years then in his retirement years he sold farm machinery. He came to Fremont 7 years ago. He had been active in the Methodist Church in Page. He helped organize the farm bureau in Page County. He had been a 4-H Leader and a member of the Boots & Saddle Club in O'Neill.

He is survived by his special friend Coralee Holtz, 4 children and 3 step-children. He was preceded in death by a brother and his parents.

A memorial service will be held at 2 PM Saturday at the Ludvigsen Mortuary Chapel. The United States Flag Presentation will be by the Fremont Honor Guard of American Legion Post 20 and VFW Post 854. Memorials are suggested to the Fremont Friendship Center.
