Esther was born to Herman and Mary (Miller) Dinslage on January 24, 1921 in Boone County, Nebraska. She grew up there, attending the "Little Red" rural school. She helped at home with her siblings due to the death of thier mother at a young age.
On December 3, 1938, Esther was married Earl Kelly in Fullerton, Nebraska. They lived for a year in Tilden, then moved to Omaha, before settling on a Scribner area farm in the early 1950's. She had worked for Campbell Soup Co. in Fremont. She was employed by the Scribner Public School system for over 20 years, and in 1991 she was named by the Scribner Chamber of Commerce as the 'Employee of the Year'. In her retirement, she took up quilting.
Esther was a member of St. Lawrence Catholic Church of Scribner where she taught CCD classes. She had served in many of the offices of St. Lawrence Catholic Church Guild, as well as serving as it's president for many years. And she worked many years in St. Lawrence's Dodge County Fair stand.
She was preceded in death by her husband Earl in July of 1992, and by a daughter Rose Mary Klamt, a brother George Dinslage, 4 sisters Marie Stromberg, Thersia Raymond, Julia Brown, Florence Luginbill, and a great granddaughter Jenna.

The funeral mass will be 10:30 AM Monday (Oct. 22nd) at St. Lawrence Catholic Church in Scribner with the Rev. Damien Wee and Deacon Junior Pribnow. The committal will follow in the Scribner Cemetery. The visitation will also be at the church on Sunday from 3 to 7, with a Vigil / Rosary Service at 7 PM. Memorials are suggested to St. Lawrence Catholic Church and the Scribner Fire & Rescue Dept. Ludvigsen's Scribner Funeral Chapel is handling the arrangements.
