Ward H. Meyer age 77, of Scribner
Died Tuesday, December 17, 2019 at Dunklau Gardens in Fremont
Ward was born November 21, 1942 in Scribner to Harold and Dorothy 'Paasch' Meyer. He was raised in Scribner and graduated from Scribner High School. After high school Ward went to Midland College and played football. After he completed college he worked for Hansen Audit and spent a lot of time traveling for work. He then worked for Chester Bell at Bell Bookkeeping and Tax Service and farmed part time. He eventually went to farming full time and continued farming until recently. Ward served as a mentor to his grandson Riley who is following in his grandfather's footsteps as a farmer.
Ward was a long time member of St. Paul Lutheran Church north of Hooper serving in many roles. Along with farming one of the things he was very passionate about was his horses. Ward had been a member of the Hooper Saddle Club. Ward married Pat Wagner in 1992.

many grand and great grandchildren
Brother – Dwain (Gladys) Meyer of Fargo, ND.
Sister – Doris (Keith) Olson of Grant, NE.
Ward was preceded in death by his parents and a brother Harlan Meyer.
The funeral will be 10:30am, Saturday, December 21 at St. Paul's Lutheran Church north of Hooper. The Rev. Judith Johnson will officiate. Burial will follow in the St. Paul's Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to the church. Visitation will be Friday from 4pm to 8pm with the family present from 5pm to 7pm at Ludvigsen's Scribner Funeral Chapel. Visitation will continue for one hour before the service at the church.
