Arvin was born to Nash and Delila (Thompson) Vogel on May 23, 1933 in West Point. He grew up in the Lyons/Bancroft area and graduated from Lyons High School in 1952.

On November 23, 1952 he was married to Wanda Pearson in Oakland, Nebraska. The couple moved to Fremont in 1953. Arvin worked for Hormel's for 8 years, then for Jayhawk Boxes from 1961 until retiring in 1996.

He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church.

daughter - Stephanie Wennstedt of Eagle Rock, Missouri

2 sisters - Myrdyce and husband Marvin Leifert of Fremont

He was preceded in death by his parents, 4 brothers and 6 sisters, a grandson and a granddaughter.

The funeral service will be on Friday (Nov. 25) at Trinity Lutheran Church with the Rev. Dan Heuer officiating.
The committal will follow in Memorial Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to the Trinity Lutheran Church Bell Tower Fund.

Visitation at the Ludvigsen Mortuary will be on Thursday (Nov. 24th) from 4 to 8 PM. and will continue Friday at the church for an hour before the service.
