Eleanor Jean Schneck age 73, of Fremont
Died Thursday February 1, 2018 at Methodist Hospital in Omaha

Jean was born February 21, 1944 in Adams, Nebraska to Harvey and Ethel Parde. She was raised in Beatrice and graduated from Beatrice High School in 1962. She married Robert Schneck on August 19, 1962 and together they raised four children.

Jean was dedicated to the quiet service and comfort of others. A Beloved wife, mother and grandmother. As the wife of a pastor, she served alongside him in various churches, working with youth. Jean was a two-time cancer survivor, which led her to introduce the 'Look Good Feel Better' program, a part of the American Cancer Society, to Fremont. She volunteered at Care Corps Homeless Shelter, Midland University Arboretum, and the Lutheran Family Services Respite program, as well as with many church women's Circles through the years. She enjoyed children so much that she also volunteered at St. Paul's School Library, Peace Lutheran VBS and Good Friday Camp. She was a member of Spinners Web and enjoyed spinning and weaving as well as sewing. She was part of First Lutheran's quilting group. She worked at the Presbyterian Church in Beatrice, Dodge County Memorial Hospital (now Fremont Health), Midland University, and JC Penneys in Fremont. She looked forward to friends and family stopping by for cookies, coffee and tea.

In December of 2003 Bob and Jean joined St. Paul's Lutheran Church north of Arlington.
