Phyllis Klindworth age 86, of Fremont.
died Thursday, September 7, 2017 in her home in Fremont.
Phyllis was born to Lloyd and Ruby (Sunday) Moyer on February 14, 1931 in the family farm home in Seward County near Milford, Nebraska. She grew up in that area.
On June 29, 1957, Phyllis married Thomas Klindworth in Seward, Nebraska. They lived briefly in Omaha, then Blair, moving to Fremont in 1959 where Thomas was a longtime Hormel employee. After their children were older, Phyllis was employed by the Best Western Motel in Fremont, then by the Dodge County Memorial Hospital until retiring after 13 years.
She enjoyed playing bingo with friends, playing cards with friends and neighbors, and decorating and redecorating her home.
Phyllis was preceded in death by her husband Thomas in July of 2010, and by 2 brothers Dale and Richard Moyer.
Survivors: 2 daughters – Judy (Shawn) Brooks and Jan (Greg) Hively
son – Robert Klindworth, all of Fremont
4 grandchildren – Ryan and Joshua Brooks of Fremont, Shanna (Dan) Wiechert of Chicago,
and Megan (Bryan) Bomar of Omaha.
3 great grandchildren – Kale, Alivia, and Natalie Bomar
3 sisters - Shirley Schuknecht and Elaine (George) Hubbard, both of Lincoln
and Marlene (Earl) Graves, Cripple Creek, Colorado
The funeral service will be 10 AM Tuesday (Sept. 12th) at the Ludvigsen Mortuary Chapel. Visitation will be for 2 hours before the service on Tuesday. The committal will follow in Ridge Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to the American Cancer Society.
