Dorrine R. Biermann, 87, of Fremont
died early Wednesday (May 3, 2017)
Dorrine was born in Great Falls, Montana on April 23, 1930 to Joseph and Ruth (Klessig) Herzog. Following her mother's death at an early age, Dorrine was adopted by her mother's sister and her husband, Grace and Robert Wilson. She was raised in Great Falls, where she graduated from high school.
She then worked for Montana Power Co. On June 8, 1951, Dorrine was married to Carl W. Biermann in the chapel of the Air Force Base at Great Falls. After Carl completed his military service, they came to Fremont where Carl worked for Hormel's for 33 ½ years and Dorrine was a homemaker raising their 5 children.
She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church. She was active in her church in the Mary and Martha Circle, and with the Trash and Treasurers group. She was also involved with Trinity Lutheran School. Dorrine had been a 4-H Leader and a Boy Scout Den Mother.
She was preceded by her husband Carl, and 2 brothers William and Don Herzog.
Survivors - 3 daughters – Linda (Fred) Schafer, Frisco, Texas
Paula (Daniel) Ruffcorn, Fremont
Carla (Marty) Carritt, Mondamin, Iowa
2 sons – Gary (Connie) Biermann and Alan (Sharie) Biermann, both Loveland, Colorado
11 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren
sister – Lano (Dick) Gale, Yuma, Arizona
The funeral service will be 10 AM Saturday at Trinity Lutheran Church with Rev. Dan Heuer. The committal will follow in Memorial Cemetery. Visitation at the Ludvigsen Mortuary will be 2 to 8 PM Friday, with the family receiving friends from 6 to 8 PM. Memorials are suggested to Trinity Lutheran Church or School.
