Evelyn was born December 29, 1921 at Butte, Nebraska to Adolph and Viola (Stoltenberg) Bendig. She grew up on the family farm near Bonesteel, South Dakota, and graduated as the valedictorian of her class in Bonesteel.
On June 12, 1939, she was married in Burke, South Dakota to Clarence Dunn. They moved to Fremont in 1951 and her husband was a longtime employee of the Chicago & Northwestern Railroad. Evelyn had worked as a bookkeeper for the Fremont Farmer's Union Co-op.
She was a longtime member of the First United Methodist Church and had been active in many of its activities. She had also been a volunteer at the Fremont Area Medical Center. And she enjoyed her card clubs.
She was preceded in death by her husband Clarence in December of 1986 and by a son Gary.
Survivors: 4 daughters - Donna and husband Ron TeSelle of Apache Junction, Ariz.

The funeral service will be 2 PM Friday (January 20, 2012) at the First United Methodist Church with the Rev. Greg Hall officiating. The committal will follow in Memorial Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to her church.
Visitation at the Ludvigsen Mortuary will be on Thursday from 2 to 8 PM, with the family receiving friends from 6 to 8 PM.
