Kenneth was born on April 13, 1956 in Fremont to William and Iona (Hartung) Norenberg. He lived all his life in Fremont. Kenneth graduated from Fremont's Opportunity Center, which later became part of Fremont's school system. Kenneth's mother, Iona, was very involved in the operation of the Center. After graduating from the Center, Kenneth worked in the ENCOR workshop.
In 1972, Iona helped with the beginning of the Special Sunday School Classes at St. Timothy Lutheran Church. Kenneth attended those classes and was still involved at this time. Kenneth took part in the Special Olympics, and especially liked bowling. He also enjoyed playing bingo.
Kenneth was preceded in death by his mother Iona on May 7, 2006.

The funeral service will be 2 PM Wednesday (February 1, 2012) at St. Timothy Lutheran Church with the Rev. John Plowman officiating. The committal will follow in Memorial Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the "Special Classes" of St. Timothy Lutheran Church.
Visitation will be at the Ludvigsen Mortuary Chapel, Fremont, on Tuesday (Jan. 31st) from 2 to 8 PM, with the family receiving friends from 6:30 to 8 PM.
