Lois E. Hultgren, age 82, of Fremont
died Wednesday night, Oct. 5, 2016 in the Lakeside Hospital, Omaha.
Lois was born June 26, 1934 in Scribner to Wilmer and Ferne (Harris) Burch. Following the family's move to Fremont, she graduated from the former Garden City rural school district #4 (located on east Military St.) She also graduated from Fremont High School in 1954. Following graduation, she worked at Memorial Hospital of Dodge County as a nurse aide for 9 years.
On April 29, 1962, Lois was married to Milton E. Hultgren in Oakland, Nebraska. After her marriage, she became a homemaker, a loving wife and mother.
Lois was a member of First Lutheran Church.
Survivors include – son, Marlin Hultgren, Rapid City, South Dakota
daughter, Lori (and husband Grady) Wells, Fremont
grandsons – Cody, Dakota, and Jordan Wells, and Jeremiah Hultgren
granddaughters – Christina Coller, Shelby Markworth, Tiffany Medina
8 great grandchildren
brother – Duane (and wife Jean) Burch, Fremont
special friend and classmate – Betty Shenshew, Norfolk
Lois was preceded in death by her husband Milton, an infant son, and 2 brothers, Don and Dennis Burch.
The funeral service will be 10:30 AM Monday (Oct. 10, 2016) at First Lutheran Church with Rev. Marty Tollefson. The committal will follow in Memorial Cemetery. Visitation at the Ludvigsen Mortuary, Fremont, will be on Sunday, 4PM to 8PM, with the family receiving friends 5 to 7 PM, and at the church Monday, an hour before services. Memorials are suggested to First Lutheran Church and Dunklau Gardens.
