Anna was born to Frank and Mary (Obermann) Moser in Dinklage, Oldenburg, Germany on February 15, 1921. In 1928, at the age of 7, Anna came with her parents to the United States, entering through Ellis Island. The family went to Marshall County, Kansas, where Anna grew up and graduated from Marysville (Kansas) High School.

On January 17, 1941, Anna Moser was married in Marysville, Kansas to Norman Roever. In 1959, they moved from Omaha to Grand Island. Her husband died in April of 1977, and Anna remained in Grand Island until moving to Fremont in May of last year (2011). In Grand Island, she had worked at the Cornhusker Army Ammunition Depot. She also worked for Woolco for 10 years and for Skagway for 17 years.

The joys of her life were her family (children, grandchildren and great grandchildren), and her dog Sassy. She enjoyed gardening and collecting Barbie Dolls.

Anna was a member of Grand Island's Trinity Lutheran Church and its Ruth Society. She had been the wedding coordinator for her church. She had also been a member of an extension club in Grand Island.

Preceding her in death in addition to her husband Norman, were 2 daughters, Mary Roever and Ann Millard, 4 brothers and 1 sister.

2 daughters - Sally and husband Randy Holke of Fremont
Nancy and husband Nick Merten of Grand Island
8 grandchildren
8 great grandchildren
brother - Frank Moser of St. Louis, Missouri

A memorial service will be 10:30 AM Saturday (Febr. 11, 2012) in Grand Island at Trinity Lutheran Church with interment in the Grand Island City Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to the Ruth Society of her church.
There is no public visitation, however friends are invited to sign the register at the Ludvigsen Mortuary on Friday from 1 to 5 PM.
