Carol L. Frey age 82 of Fremont,
Died Wednesday March 16, 2016 at Dunklau Gardens in Fremont
Carol was born August 2, 1933 in Emerson, Nebraska to Harvey and Della 'Kai' Frey. He grew up in Emerson and graduated from Emerson High School. In 1952 he moved to Fremont and worked for a short time in Sales for Peterson's Motors. Carol then served as a Fremont Police officer until 1962. In 1963 Carol opened Frey's Auto Sales and Service Station on the corner of 16th and Bell.
Carol married Sylvia Spes on January 12, 1952. She preceded him in death on May 21, 2014.
Carol enjoyed raising cattle and working out at the acreage, keeping it neat for many years until it was sold. Carol had a love of football since he played in high school. He enjoyed going to many Nebraska and Kansas City football games over the years with family and friends and watching games at home.

Daughter – Cynthia Gustafson of Fremont
Grandchildren – Cody and Kimberly Frey of Fremont
Kerry (David) Greunke of Bennington
Great granddaughters – Maria & Clara Greunke
Brother-in-law – Leo (Janice) Spes of Fremont
Sister-in-law – Linda Frey of Fremont

Carol was preceded in death by his wife, sisters Jeanie & Luella, brothers Delmer, Wayne and Larry.
The funeral will be 10:30am Tuesday at Salem Evangelical Lutheran Church in Fremont. Burial will follow in Memorial Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorials are suggested to Salem Lutheran Church. Visitation will be Monday from 3pm to 8pm with the family present from 6pm to 8pm at the Ludvigsen Mortuary Chapel in Fremont. Visitation will continue for one hour before the service at church.
