"My thoughts go out to Toby's family and vast number of friends. To say he will be missed, is a grand understatement. Toby, was like a grandfather to me in every sense of the word. He held me as a child, took me fishing and hunting when I was young, helped me with my car when ever I needed it, and would give me advice when life seemed bleak as a teen. He was just always there when I needed him the most and he was there for anyone when they needed him. That's the kind of man he was. He was never too busy to lend a hand to try and fix whatever problem you had. A man's man, a real life cowboy, and a friend. Toby was in my wedding and I couldn't have asked for a better man than him to stand with me. I have always had Toby in my life and I hope I earned his respect as a man and made him proud. Goodbye my oldest friend, the journey will be a little less bright without you here. I hope in time, we shall see each other again in the big trail in the sky."

"My Toby, that is what I called him, he lived with us since 1974. He did things for me a father would do, my car would break down, who do I call My Toby. Every holiday we spent with my Toby , I even got him to go to church a couple times. He was best man at my son Joe's wedding. Toby your in a better place no pain, no tears, they say you can fly in heaven. I will always hold a special spot in my heart for my Toby until we meet again. "I was just looking at the last book Toby & Bill traded, which both of there initials are in it and I found this very interesting, The name of the book is Death Rides A Chestnut Mare, by Ralph Compton and there was a page with this underlined, it reads, True, the old days and the old ways are but treasured memories, and the old trails have grown dim with ravage of time, but the spirit of the cowboy lives on. It has become a symbol of freedom , when there was another mountain to climb and another river to cross: when a dispute between two men was settled not with expensive lawyers, but with fists,knives, or guns, Barbaric? Maybe. But some things never change. When the cowboy rode into the sunset of american history, he left behind a legacy that lives within the hearts of all of us! These words were underlined with pencil and Bill said he didnt do that so Toby must have, Toby was a true cowboy who has now rode off into the sunset, like he did when he worked on the ranch, it seems that was when he was the happiest! "Toby was part of our family for many years and i will miss his smile. He worked with me when I was young and needed someone to count on for help and a little tough advice. He was a man I will remember and respect the rest of my life.

"Toby was a wonderful man who loved our family, he never missed a family get together, Easter at my house, Thanksgiving at my house and Christmas at Shepard of the Hills for our Christmas celebration.Toby and Dorothy drove to Scottsdale, Az. twice to spend a week in the sun, to get away from the Omaha snow, what a great time we had. Toby loved to read Pocket Book Western books by Louie L'amour, William Johnstone, and Ralph Compton, I loved listening to Bill and Toby take about how they rode there horses when they were young and get the cattle in. Toby always put his initials on the inside cover TW before he gave Bill a book so he wouldnt get it back. They were easy read but it reminded him of his cowboy days when he worked on a ranch. Toby was loved by the Jorgensen family for many things, he was always a kind man and even the best man for a couple of my nephews who thought the world of him. You will be missed very much Toby. I never did get to have another Holy Name Coke with you, but every fish fry during lent we will think of you and how you loved meeting everyone there! God Bless you Toby and may the perpetual light shine upon you! Happy trails!
