Charles was born October 9, 1911 in North Bend to Casper and Ella (Burger) Krenzer. He grew up on the farm, working with his father.
On December 10, 1936, Charles was married to Alice Morter. Charles then farmed with his father-in-law near Lyons, Nebraska. Before coming to Fremont in 1948, Charles and Alice had lived for a time in California. While living in Fremont, Charles worked for Cornhusker Hybrid Research for 10 years, and then for DeKalb Research for 27 years. During his retirement years, he enjoyed gardening, playing cards, and visiting with friends.
He was a member of The Presbyterian Church for over 50 years and had been active in its Mariners Club.
Charles was preceded in death by his wife Alice in June of 1980, his daughter Marilyn Way in January of 2012, by a grandson, by a brother Wilson, and by 2 sisters Millie and Jeanette.

The funeral service will be 10 AM Monday, November 12, 2012, at The Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Jon Ashley. The committal will follow in Memorial Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to his church.
Visitation will be at the Ludvigsen Mortuary in Fremont on Sunday (Nov. 11th) from 2 until 7 PM, with the family receiving friends from 5 to 7 PM.
