Dennis was born June 1, 1949 in Oakland, NE. to Walter and Darlene 'Sanderson' Dean. He grew up in Lyons, Tekamah and Blair and graduated from Blair High School in 1967. He served in the United States Marine Corps from 1968-1970, receiving the National Defense Service Medal. After his discharge he served on the Blair Police Department for 3 years. In 1974 he joined the Fremont Police Department where he served until 1994. He married Marcia Sachs on January 18, 1975 at First Methodist Church in Fremont. They have lived in Omaha since 1996.

Brother - Donald (Reggie) Dean of Lincoln

Sisters-in-law - Kristie Mosher of Florida
Glenda (Bill) Rathjen of Ft. Calhoun
Brother-in-law - Hunington (Suzy) Sachs of California

Family and friends are invited to a celebration of life and to share memories Sunday, March 4 from 2pm to 4pm at 513 S. 184th St. Elkhorn, NE. 68022. There will be no services. Condolences and memorials may be sent to that address.
