Ranatta J. Fuhrmeister, age 97, of Fremont,
died Wednesday, July 1st, 2015, in her home.
Ranatta was born to Pete and Etta (Jepsen) Rasmussen in Fremont on September 17, 1917. She graduated from Fremont High School, and has lived in the Fremont area all her life.
In July of 1936, Ranatta was married to Lucian Fuhrmeister who became a teacher, high school principal and superintendent, and coach. In 1979 he became the Dodge County Superintendent of Schools. Ranatta helped her husband with many of his duties.
She was preceded in death by her husband in 2008, and by a brother Carman Rasmussen.
Survivors: daughter – Janis Sue Fuhrmeister
son – Norman Fuhrmeister, both of Fremont
2 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild
Services will be private. Ludvigsen Mortuary is assisting the family.
