Janice Belak age 80, of Fremont
died Thursday March 5, 2015 at Fremont Health
Janice was born March 4, 1935 in Verdigre, Nebraska to John and Lydia (Tichy) Genser. She was raised in Verdigre and graduated from high school there. She married John Belak on March 31, 1954. The couple moved to Fremont and for several years Janice worked at the phone company. She became a stay at home mom, raised 4 children and worked at the YMCA for 10 years. After the kids were out of the house she went to work full time at the Fremont Care Center (now Nye Pointe) and retired after 19 years. She went back to work part time at the YMCA in the Kid Zone day care. For the last several years Janice volunteered at Fremont Health as a member of the Hospital Auxillary. Janice was a member of the Church of the Nazarene.

Janice was preceded in death by her husband John on April 3, 2013, 2 brothers and 2 sisters.
The funeral will be 11am Tuesday at the Church of the Nazarene in Fremont. Visitation will be Monday at the Ludvigsen Mortuary Chapel with the family present from 4pm to 8pm. Memorials are suggested to the Dodge County Humane Society.
