Louella Larsen age 84, of Fremont and Mesa, Ariz.;
died in Mesa on Tuesday, February 10th.
Louella was born December 5, 1930 in Telbasta, Nebraska to Herman and Ella (Kjeldgaard) Christ. She grew up in the Fontanelle area and graduated from Fremont High School in 1948. On June 19, 1949, she was married to Robert A. Larsen, who was her high school classmate.
Following their marriage, they lived on the farm site of his grandparents northwest of Fremont. Later, they moved to a farm nearer to the Bluffs Trinity Lutheran Church area, also northwest of Fremont.
Following her husband's death in July of 2007, Louella moved into Fremont.
Louella was a member of Peace Lutheran Church (east of Fremont). She was also a member of Prairie Peace Makers Quilting Club and the Sugar & Spice Extension Club.
Louella was preceded in death by her husband Robert, by 4 brothers and a sister.
Survivors: daughter – Sharon Larsen of Ralston, NE
son – Mark and wife Courtney Larsen of Scottsdale, Ariz.
2 grandchildren – Veda and Emory Darling
sister – Dorothy Wilkening of Fremont
The funeral service will be 10:30 Wednesday (Febr. 18th) at Peace Lutheran Church, Fremont, (2102 N. County Rd 26 – E. Hwy 30 & Co. Rd 26) with Pastor Sean Tyler. The committal will follow in Memorial Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to Peace Lutheran Church and St. Jude Children's Hospital. Visitation at the Ludvigsen Mortuary, Fremont, will be on Tuesday (Febr. 17th) from 3 to 8 PM, with the family receiving friends from 6 to 8 PM.
